Sometimes, all it takes is a spark, a chance conversation, a clear intention, and the decision to act. That’s how I found myself at the All-In Podcast Summit, a gathering of 3,000 entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators who share an optimistic vision of the future. What began as hesitation quickly became a personal journey rooted in intention, action, and focus — the very formula I believe is at the heart of getting the good things in life for as long as possible.

My Journey to Attend

My initial interest in attending was triggered by the fact that a former colleague was working for Chamath Palihapitiya. When I suggested to my friend that we attend and meet with Chamath, I was met with a less-than-enthusiastic response. I had resigned myself to not attending until a chance introduction to a new like-minded friend mentioned he was attending with two other friends.

Hearing this, I asked if I could tag along, as our chance meeting had already inspired and energized me. My motivation for joining the All-In Podcast Summit was clear: I wanted to expand my network and be inspired by others working at the forefront of innovation. That spark of encouragement, energy, and optimism was all I needed to join.

And I’m glad I did. Not only did I meet incredible people, but I also discovered some “new besties” (a term the All-In hosts use for a circle of friends). Three fellow forward-thinking entrepreneurs from Minnesota who are optimistic about America and the future. Our conversations carried the same energy as the Summit: forward-looking, innovative, and deeply optimistic.

Manifesting Goals

Before heading into the conference, I began asking myself: Who do I want to meet the most? Who inspires and challenges me? I set a clear intention and even spoke it aloud to myself and others, ranking my priority to meet Alex Karp, David Sacks, Chamath Palihapitiya, and others as the opportunity arose.

Sure enough, through intention, action, and focus, I met Alex Karp. That moment was the highlight of the trip. His intellectual power, clarity of vision, and perseverance of effort have made a deep impression on me, and his presentation on stage did not disappoint.

Attending the conference, meeting Alex, and many other amazing people was just another proof point in the power of manifestation: set your intention, be focused, take action, and the outcomes follow. Attending the All-In Summit became another living example of the principles I share in Healthy Wealthy Longevity: when you align your goals with intention, action, and focus, good things happen.

The All-In Podcast Phenomenon

For those unfamiliar, the All-In Podcast has become one of the most influential voices in business, technology, and politics. Hosted by four Silicon Valley friends Chamath Palihapitiya, Jason Calacanis, David Sacks, and David Friedberg, the show has developed a massive following for its unfiltered conversations on everything from startups and markets to geopolitics and culture. What sets it apart is the chemistry among the hosts: successful entrepreneurs and investors who aren’t afraid to debate, disagree, and remain friends. The Summit was an extension of that ethos, bringing the podcast’s community of listeners and doers together in one place to talk about where we’ve been and, more importantly, where we’re going.

Highlights from the Stage

The lineup of speakers was extraordinary, but a few stood out as most memorable:

  • Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir, spoke with ferocious conviction about technology, security, and philosophy. Meeting him was my personal highlight.
  • Elon Musk shared his wide-ranging views on technology, energy, and civilization’s future. As always, Elon was provocative and bold.
  • Tulsi Gabbard offered a voice on leadership, civic responsibility, and principled dialogue.
  • Chris Wright fostered a candid discussion and insights on energy independence and American resilience.

Leaving Inspired, Then Tested

I left the All-In Summit with a renewed sense that America’s entrepreneurial spirit is alive and thriving, that innovation will continue to power progress, and that optimism is justified and essential. That optimism was tested the day after the event, when Charlie Kirk was senselessly murdered. Charlie’s murder reminds us how fragile civil discourse has become. The All-In Summit stood as a powerful contrast: where ideas could be debated openly, passionately, and without fear. Reconciling these two realities is a challenge for our nation.

To that end, the Summit reaffirmed a truth I carry: the best way to predict the future is to create it. And with the right mix of intention, action, and focus, we all have the power to make the future we want for ourselves, for our communities, and for our country. We need others to see and realize this same opportunity without doing violence to others.

Final Thoughts

My experience at the All-In Summit was more than just a trip to a conference; it was a reminder of the principles I live by and share in my book Healthy Wealthy Longevity:

  • Intention – Know what you want.
  • Action – Put yourself in the arena.
  • Focus – Stay committed.

This is the formula to manifest your goals, dreams, and objectives. It’s how we get the good things in life for as long as possible.
